Lake is big. Big has 3 letters. 1503 (the time that you posted this) divided by 3 is 501. Erase the 01, you have 5. Lake equals five.

Ham is a good food to have on a special occasion like Christmas or Easter. There are twelve days of Christmas. The easiest one to remember is the fifth day because that's when you get "five gold rings" which really stands out in the song called twelve days of Christmas. So ... Ham equals five!

Equestrian means you ride horses. Horses have four hooves. You posted this at 17:04 Forum Time. Erase the 704 because they are useless and you get 1. 4+1=5. Equestrian equals five.

Your word is feast (do not just tell me feast has five letters feast equals five)

Feast rhymes with East. There are three cardinal directions other than East. But there are two MORE directions when you count down and up .. which makes five. So, quite clearly, feast equals five.

Cheddar is good on a burger. A burger is good to eat on the fourth of July. That's Independence Day. Thomas Jefferson drafted the Declaration of independence. In it, he wrote that all men are equal. Thomas Jefferson was a man, therefore he is equal to all men. If he is equal to all men, then he is surely equal to five men. Therefore cheddar equals five.

Sometimes when you're trying to relax, you take a deep breath and count to ten. If you took a shallower breath, you might exhale only half as long so you would only get to count to five. So breath equals five.

Bandicoots are furry. Peaches are also furry (but not in the same way). Peach is a color. There are more than five colors. But, there are more than five bandicoots. So, bandicoot equals five.

Thrasonical means "of, relating to, resembling, or characteristic of Thraso."  Thraso was a character in a play who is known for being a boastful braggart.  Donald Trump is a boastful braggart and he is also an owner of a golf course.  Therefore, thrasonical equals being an owner of a golf course.

Long ago there were five brothers who came of age and decided it was time to learn a trade so that they could make their way in the world. The first became a tailor.  The second became a miller.  The third became a hunter.  The fourth became a thief. They were all very successful and achieved a measure of wealth. The fifth wasn't good at anything he tried, so he lived with his old father.  When the father died, the fifth son inherited a golf course.  Therefore five equals being an owner of a golf course.

Thrasonical equals being an owner of a golf course, as previously shown. And since five also equals being an owner of a golf course, it is thus shown that thrasonical equals five. Q.E.D. (And the fifth son turned out to be reasonably good at managing a golf course ... if you wanted to know.)

Hi MrC and everyone,

I want to clarify somewhat the definition of "thrasonical." It means "boastful" but not necessarily tied to Thraso.

Also please remember to try to stay away from your political opinions. I will let it slide this time. If this post offends anyone's political opinions, I will take it down.

Thank you Very Happy

An albumen is part of an egg. Eggs are from birds. A verdin is a kind of bird. Verdin starts with V. V is the roman numeral for five. Albumen equals five.

If something is vicarious, it might be in place of something. You might get a replacement if you break something. If you break something, it might go "smash." It might also go "pop." Pop comes in cans. Cans come in packs of six. Therefore, vicarious equals six.

Smash rhymes with crash. You crash a car. A car has four wheels. Wheels go around. Merrys go around too. There are horses on a merry-go-round. A horse has one mane. Therefore, smash equals one.

6-1=5. Vicarious equals five.

Revision of deleted message: "Contrive is what a man I know and a boy I know both do very well when playing the "equals five" game. The man is 44 years old and the boy is 11. Add their ages tigether, and you get 55. Their ages and their sum are all divisible by 11. 55 divided by 11 is 5, so contrive equals five. (Also, they rhyme.)

Your word is hooligan.
